About Ernest Lewis Center for Learning LLC
Our center is a safe place where children have the space to not only be themselves but express themselves artistically and creatively, helping them to discover their personality, building character and self awareness.
Our Mission
At the Ernest Lewis Center for Learning, LLC, we expose young children to a learning environment that provides them with various learning experiences to honor and respect their unique learning styles. We support children to become aware of who they are and how they can contribute to the world around them. When they leave our Center, they have the foundation they need to succeed in school and life
Our Story
Renee McMillian, always loved children and dreamed of owning a daycare of her own. Â Inspired by her son and father Ernest Lewis, in the middle of a global pandemic, she took the leap of faith to open her center, Ernest Lewis Center for Learning LLC, in July of 2021. ELCL quickly became a neighborhood staple for families in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia. PA. Renee was able to fulfill her purpose of creating and offering great educational programs to young children that have a significant and positive impact that will lead to the success of families and children in school and in life. She made sure to implement a brand-new curriculum for the children that enhances their thinking process and encourage them to be more creative. Renee looks forward to offering programs for the parents and families alike to ensure the entire family is supported and has opportunities to develop alongside their children!
Our Community
Our center is set in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia County, home to lots of restaurants, childcare centers and parks. Making it a great place to raise a family and share the culture of the historic neighborhood that offers residents an urban suburban mix feel where most residents own their homes. In West Oak Lane there are a lot of Mom and Pop owned shops and local parks that contribute to that classic community experience. We have a great time on neighborhood walks and get to explore nature while getting to know our neighbors and learn more about the surrounding environment.
Our Team
Our team is an integral part of making Ernest Lewis Center for Learning the preferred center for young children. They are super talented and loving professionals that focus on not only ensuring your child has fun developing their skills but also stays safe and emotionally healthy as they explore and connect with their peers. Our team works hard to create stimulating learning projects and engaging play areas.
